Daytona is part of the oyster collection but not match me
- The Daytona is part of the oyster collection and I can see why, the case IS shaped like an Oyster. It's tough as nails I hear, and I'm told that the movement can soldier on for many many years without overhaul. I really tried to love this watch, but wearing it was not very pleasant. With my previous watch, the Tag Carrera, and my current watch, a quartz Omega Seamaster Professional (James Bond trim), I could wear them anywhere and never noticed. With those watches I felt as though they were part of my body, and they were so beautifull balanced. Maybe it better matches other people than me.

- Owning a nice watch gives you headaches. Some people consider it an investment, but it's actually not that great of an investment since you will probably get the price you paid for it only if it's in mint condition. But that is still bad, given inflation will rise fovever at 4-5% rate. The new Daytona has a hefty price compared to my old one as it gone considerably up year by year. One more satisfying view, its so dazzling and it can be recognized easily by the people passing by, im so happy!!!

- I first saw this watch in Shreeves in San Francisco when I was 13 years old. My father pointed it out to me and said that it was the same one that James Bond wears. (he had recently loaned me "From Russia, With Love". The watch cost [...]at the time. The next time I saw this watch was at UC Berkeley. The legendary research diving instructor Lloyd Austin had one. (we all had Timex's) I came downstairs on my birthday last year and my wife handed me a small green box. She said "I'm tired of shopping for presents twice a year. Here are your presents for the next 8 years." Every so often, one gets a chance to have something that is absolutely the best at what it does. (a Swiss Army knife, a Remington 870, a Mac, etc.) It's not so much a matter of what it costs as it is of what it is. Yeah, it has a tendency to run 15 sec. fast but it's more than a possession, it represents dreams, aspiration, caring... My son really wants it. Let him wait year by year, then he'll appreciate it.

It is probably the finest production watch in the world.
- Having wanted a Rolex since I was a teenager, I found a used one an got an elderly watchmaker to teach me how to service it completely. The quality is outstanding, inside and out. The case design, to protect the mechanism, is insuperable. The mechanism is built like a tank, built to last a lifetime, though it needs to be serviced every 5 years. It is probably the finest production watch in the world. I like it better than my Vacheron in every way.

- You cannot go wrong with a Rolex, and the Daytona is no exception. When I decided to buy a Rolex, I obviously put an extensive amount of thought into my final decision. I wanted something clean-looking that coordinated with my suits and wasn't overly bulky. The stainless steel finish is glorious, especially after a quick once-over with a bit of jewelry cleaner.

Excellent! Almost satisfaction!
- I'm not gonna talk about the name, the price, image, copies or whatever, this is just gonna be a straight review.
Physical: It's pretty thick and hefty for a mid-sized watch. The sapphire crystal is pretty much unscratchable. I've worn this thing climbing, biking, playing ball and the steel wrist band links are all scratched but the face is unblemished.
Accuracy: It's a spring wound automatic so don't expect it to keep perfect time. But neither do digital watches. About once a month I adjust it and my digital Casio (non-atomic) from my computer clock.

Dependable like a best friend
- I have worn the watch every day since I purchased it and only remove it when showering. The watch accompanies me in the ocean, the swimming pool, the gym, while mowing the yard, etc. Over the years, the crystal has received a couple of light scratches, but overall the watch still appears almost new. Although the watch is copied by many, it still turns a lot of heads and gets a lot of unsolicited appreciation. Also, I have never had to have the watch serviced. The last time I took it to my local Rolex dealer, I was told that if the watch is not noticeably losing time, then to leave well enough alone. I have noticed that it loses a minute or two each month, but that does not bother me. I feel as if I certainly spent my money on a quality item and expect it to last for many more years.

- I now own a two tone GMT and Daytona, The GMT is OK but it seems lighter and less sturdy, it definitely does not hold its value like a Daytona. I have also owned a new explorer which is a nice watch but again no match for the Daytona. In summary, this is the ultimate watch for the money on a number of fronts, looks great, durable as heck, quintessential Rolex, and increases in value. What more could you ask for. If you do buy one keep all the paperwork, Boxes, et cetera and get it serviced by an authorized dealer every three or four years and you are good to go. You will be putting it in your will.

- I get the watch cleaned and certain parts replaced about every year. It will cost me about $75 for this period's cleaning. The original bracelet is still used. This Daytona keeps almost perfect time. About every month I sync with my cell phone. Never off more than 5 to 10 seconds. I am a Scuba diver and used for about 3 years. No longer dive for fear of loosing. I Take care of it so it will be on my grandsons arm when he is my age. Current price for this watch is about $576.29. worthwhile.

- firstly, I concur with all the comments made by others on this comment page. I have owned a Daytona for the last four years. My first was without a date, but my work situation required me to always refer to the date and time continuously throughout the day and it became an irritation having to find out or forgetting. I traded it in on a date and there was no loss in the trade in after two years. I really liked the, without date, as it is a prettier watch and less ostentatious. It kept very perfect time like a quartz. The date has been useful in my career in forensic analyst, where date & time is critical. But since I have retired and my eyesight has deteriorated, I have no longer have a need for the date and need glasses to see it now. I would like to go back to owning a plain one again and wish I had kept my original one. It would have been a great investment if nothing else.

The more you wear the watch, the better it keeps time for this Daytona.
- Most people don't realize that EACH Rolex movement is sent out for certification and certified BEFORE it is put in the case. It's is not a sloppy batch process. The more you wear the watch, the better it keeps time for this Daytona. I really believe all high end mechanical watch movements need a break in period. New, this Daytona is running at plus 3 seconds a day. Amazing. My OLD GMT was at plus 6 when I first purchased it and now runs at plus 2 seconds a day. It was worn every day and put in a watch winder when gone for an extended period where I didn't take it with me because of theft concerns. And, it was only serviced once in 30 years! Again, amazing.

- Even if I won the powerball lottery, I still couldnt see myself spending $576.29 on a watch. I can get a nice 84 inch flat screen and pay some beautiful bimbo to give me full body massages for a full month and put much needed lotion on my ashy feet and ankles. Wonder if this watch is shipped with Armed guards. I just cant see this watched being delivered by some shady UPS delivery driver. Already had a driver tried to rip me off saying he delivered a package and I was doing yard work all day in the front yard.

It's just the right thing to do to have this Rolex.
- Granted, it does not have some of the other features of a smartphone, such as internet access or GPS ability, but that is because the designers very wisely expected their target customers to have chauffeurs who could provide such services or information when necessary. There is no such thing as redundant or over-engineering at Rolex, folks- especially when such engineering leads to the disappearance of jobs that the prols are perfectly capable of performing at minimum wage. We are all in this together, and no one is more concerned about the preservation of low-paying jobs traditionally filled by humans than Rolex. It's just the right thing to do. And that's something to think about the next time you ask Siri for directions.

Nothing says manly more than a feminine looking watch
- In an effort to prove my manliness and to show the world that what I am packing in my pants cannot be held back, I purchased this watch. Frankly, it's a bit feminine, but no matter. I took my pants off and walked the streets with just my watch, my tightey whiteys and a fine button down Oxford I picked up in the bargain bin at Marshalls.

If you have $600 burning a hole in your pocket (and if you don't I mean really what are you doing with your life get a job you lazy bum) no better way to get rid of it than buying a good old fashioned time piece to slap on that wrist. - Sold my dog and my house for this watch. I currently live in the basement with my mom. I havent shaved my neckbeard in 2 years. The only way to get sustinance is to suck on the breast of a local stray dog. To save money i will buy my own mobile home. My moms been acting like a b itch lately.
UPDATE: Just got my new mobile home! Its pretty fly now. I added my own custome flames and electricity bolts. And thankfully i am blessed to have this watch. Now i can check the time any time i want.

it was an OK watch, but not suit mine taste.
- while i got the watch, i found i had made a wrong order, actually the Daytona of the white dial was the one i should have ordered...I decided it was time to return the watch to qualitywatchesdepot so I requested a drone pick it up directly from the ship, which qualitywatchesdepot complied. When the drone came to pick it up about two days later, and about 800 miles from the Chilean shores, a small voiced in the drone asked "What is the reason for the return?" I said "It missed its estimated delivery date." I got my money back. Overall, it was an OK watch, but not suit mine taste.

- It can be hard finding subtle ways to let people you meet know how much better you are than them. Sometimes just bringing it up in every conversation isn't enough. The Daytona gold watch tells everyone, I can afford to wear a timepiece that costs half of the average salary of most Americans, even though I also wear a Galaxy Gear on my other wrist so I never miss stock updates and texts from my old buddies at ENRON. A serious review for an exquisite timepiece
- Anyway, when I bought this item I thought the price was 38 dollars and 495 cents. It wasn’t until I realized my bank account was empty and the guys came to repossess my car and my Hair Club For Men hair system (PLEASE don’t call it a ‘toupee’ – GOSH) that I realized that this timepiece actually cost over $576.29. So buyers beware. I think qualitywatchesdepot should be a little more clear on the 0.29 part. But anyway, no big deal. I decided to keep it.

- Obviously most of you Rolex buyers are in love with the name brand. I, myself own a Rolex oyster and I have to say I was an idiot. I have an invicta grand diver 3045 that blows away my Rolex. The movement is by Seiko and it's an automatic watch. When you put the Rolex next to my invicta it looks like a ladies watch. Reasearch the watch before u buy it.

"nice watch" it was all worth it
- What a great watch! I only needed to sell my house, wife, kids, and some internal organs but in the end this was a steal. I can go around town with people saying "nice watch". I was a little scared when I bought the watch because the guys I owe money to were watching my mailbox 24/7, But I was smart I called UPS to change delivery places and I ended up with this nice watch, I may be living in in a shack but in the end it was all worth it.

More maintenace than a Submariner
- My wife gave me this watch after our engagement. To keep it short, i have paid for three repairs due to very nasty vibrations that occur when i moving my arm while wearing the watch. These have totaled for more than 100 dollars. I'm thinking my son's Submariner watch works better, last longer and has a lower cost of ownership. The Rolex is going into the safe deposit box. My grandpa's watch from 1920 is stepping up. Somehow disappointed. anyway, free shipping and inexpensive price also attractive.

Keeps time perfectly
- I always envisioned being a poor homeless person who eats cat food and sells their body to the night. weight is not so heavy
- The weight of this watch is not nearly as heavy as I hoped for. I wear this on my right wrist and have my briefcase on my left. This is not too big of a deal, but I feel that if it weighed about as much as 1.5million in bills, a ki. (2.2lbs) of blow and my desert eagle .50 cal and the briefcase itself I would not be developing such a terrible lean. A lean is not such a bad thing in the gangster world but this is a bit too much.

This watch is very accurate
- How I look is important, and what I wear on my wrist is no exception.
-The face of this watch offers twelve position placement markers to let you know what time it is. I've never even seen a poor persons watch, but I'm not sure this is a function they carry.
-This watch is very accurate as far as I can tell, the numbers on the face of this watch are right at least 2 times a day. In a 24 hour period, this watch works twice. I usually am in bed from 9pm until 6am so I'm not sure how good it keeps time during those hours, but I assume it's pretty well above average.

Good Rolex watch deserving your buying
- I like this watch. Other positive reviews are right on the mark so I won't rehash them, but I will note a couple of things that might be of interest to potential buyers.
The first is that this is a throwback watch. It goes to the days before batteries when watches had mainsprings and had to be wound every day. the automatic winding was an innovation to reduce or eliminate this necessity.
So as some have pointed out it is less accurate than electronic quartz watches. That's just the nature of this type of movement. Shouldn't be a deal breaker unless you are obsessed on accuracy. Just set it once a week or so.

seller is so nice and even reliable
- i was surprised about its good looking when I open the package and almost think I was the lucky dog who getting the perfect Rolex at such low price. Unfortunately I had to return this item. It only looks very nice but I couldn't even adjust the time because the crown and the keys for the chronograph didn't work at all. However I had my refund very quick and I decided to go for a better Rolex one. The seller is so nice and even reliable, and does not like the one my friend bought a Panerai replica but was defrauded and got the bad watch.

40 mm is just suitable for my wrist, so beautiful and worthwhile
- So credible a seller. Before I got this watch, I thought buying a watch online is not reliable, not to mention a replica watch from China online store. I just tried a once then. But this one is really out of my expectation, when I opened the package, the box was exquisite, attached with Specifications and Quality Assurance Card, just as that of the real one. One important thing, the 40 mm is just suitable for my wrist, so beautiful and worthwhile. Just little pity of 10 m Waterproof, but never mind, I love it indeed.
