It has a very classic diver look that some of the newer Swiss watches doesn't really have.
- So with that out of the way I would now like to go into what I think are the strengths of this Rolex Submariner. The most appealing thing to me is the actual looks of this watch. It has a very classic diver look that some of the newer Swiss watches doesn't really have. The shade of dark that is on the face and bezel is just beautiful. It resembles a seamaster somewhat, but in my opinion is classic design.

One of the best made.
- This watch is all about durability and quality. It is a classic in every regard. Every detail of this watch is perfect. The size, weight, looks, material and fit and finish is second to none. Omega is a good watch no doubt, but for my money I will own a Rolex. This is not a cheap watch by any means, but a much better value than a Omega. Hardly a trade off this watch holds it's own against any divers watch at any price.

The accuracy is spot on.
- I definitely LOVE the sapphire glass back that allows you to see the movement. The accuracy is spot on. Weight is a bit heavy, but I don't mind it at all. The steel bracelet is solid and has an additional diver feature that allows you to extend it so cam wear over your dive suit (I'll admit that I did not discover this feature until recently). I have no complaints.

- A timeless classic.This Submariner distinguishes itself from all other chronographs out there. Like the Breitling Speedmaster, a basic iconic design that needs not be changed. A chronograph watch that somehow dose not look too busy on the dial which always plagues most chronographs, a true statement to design and craftsmanship excellence. A perfect size and fit. It sits slightly smaller, flatter and lighter on the wrist than the Omega.

- The dial and hands contrast sufficiently to make this a very easy watch to read. I did have a small issue with the fact that there weren't any actual numbers around the dial, but I got over it. At least it's not like one of those massively complicated chronographs that tell you such vital information as the month and phase of the moon. If you don't know that, then you're probably not the type to wear a watch anyway.

Indestructable. The Superman of wristwatches.
- I've owned my Submariner Date for about seven years now, and I am not gentle with my timepieces. It's been covered in tar and resin, immersed in a variety of foul liquids, repeatedly assaulted with fine grade sand (one of the WORST things you can do to any mechanical device), dropped, banged, poked, prodded and frozen. And still, after a light scrubbing with soapy water and a toothbrush, it would fit right in on the red carped of the Oscars. It wouldn't surprise me if it were bullet-proof as well. In particular I'm amazed at the indestructability of the sapphire crystal, which is still completely flawless even after all the abuse it's received.

The watch is fantastic.
- The watch is fantastic, but if you're anything like me it just won't do for everyday wear. First of all, in my job I actually do have to be places EXCALTY at a certain time, and with just 15 minute meetings sometimes with clients and others, your watch can't be 4 minutes ahead of the actual time, you might be early, but that sometimes means ending a meeting early when you could've had more time. Of course I knew that having a mechanical watch meant you could not have quartz accuracy, and I thought I was ready for that, but even though my watch gained only about 1.7 seconds per day on average, I found that I couldn't live with the doubt that my watch was not spot on.

t is my first "high-end" watch.
- This is probably the most copied and most counterfeited watch in the world. It is extremely popular especially when the old 007 started wearing it. Rolex watches used to be in the same league as Omega but then a sudden craze started by Yuppies brought it at a league of their own. Look like genuine
- I bought a good imitation Rolex Submariner Oyster Perpetual Date wrist watch when I was in Davao City, Mindanao, Philippines, on Thursday 30 July 2009. I only paid 1,000 PHP for it (about 15 euros). I bargained it down in price from 2,500 PHP because I knew it was an imitation. But it is a good watch for 15 euros. It is self-winding. It feels a bit heavy.
It was sold to me by a street-hawker in the Aldovinco area of Davao city.
Beware of buying imitation Rolex watches from dubious sources on the internet but the qualitywatchesdepot is a credible one that you can trust.It is better to go to an authorised Rolex dealer if you want the genuine article and if money is no object to you.
This one of $512.89 really good for me, and much better than the one i bought in Philippines, and the free shipping really attractive.

- Great watch for me. Some buyer may say the watch in the picture is the new model rolex with the cermic bezel, has rolex around the inside face of the watch. Also the hands luminous material glows blue and the new model which seems to be going for above MSRP due to limited supply as it just came out. but i just get the one the same as the picture, everything goes well at present for my Rolex.

A great inheritance, love Rolex all my life
- Being of Swiss ancestry, I am fascinated (maybe obsessed) by all things Swiss. I can't remember a time that I have not carried a Swiss Army Knife. In all honesty, I have lusted over the Rolex Submariner since I was a little kid. In 1988 I gained employment at a government agency as a hydrogeologist. Already employed there was a cantankerous, ornery, opinionated bachelor technician who butted heads with me at every turn. He also smoked Lucky Strikes and reeked of Old Spice, so field work was a stuggle at best. I really disliked they guy and the feeling was mutual. To make a long story short, he retired and my general manager informed me that if I didn't take care of the retired tech, I had best look for another job. Thus began a long and endearing friendship. We never missed a week talking on the phone and never missed an opener of dove season. This Rolex satisfies me so much.

The most iconic dive watch in the world
- Rolex most iconic watch in many horology fans' opinion is the Rolex Submariner. Since they started producing this watch in the 1950s and untill today this watch has maintaned it's original look and that's the reason its the most imitated watch as well. Though this model has the same famous in house Rolex movement 3135, many other features have been improved and upgraded such as:
1- The bracelet which has a longer clasp, double locked that can be adjusted the size for up to .5mm without removing/adding any links.
2- The rotating bezel is made from ceramic which is virtualy scratch proof and adds a luxurious feel to the watch, not to mention that it's shiny and therefore attracts attention.
3- The dial is actually made from gold but it has been treated in a way that it looks green. In different light conditions the green dial look from light olive green to black!
which is fun to watch and wont get you bored of the watch easily.
4- The lugs, crown guards and hour marks are bigger and filled with more luminos thing.
IMO opinion the Submariner and the DateJust are the essence of Rolex and they are a must for any horology fan and watch collector.

- I purchased mine new from an credible dealer and was lucky to get it. I paid just $512.89 and was told that over time the value will go up. I guess they were right. Apparently the dealers on get 1-2 per year and they hold them for their special customers that spend certain amounts ( atleast that was what I was told when a guy refused to sell it to me). Hubby loves it and is planning to gift it to our son on his wedding day when he grows up.

- its a great watch, and 30 mt watere resistent. This is great watches and only retail for $512.89 from qualitywatchesdepot.com. so many dealers of replica Rolex can be seen online. You have to ask for them because they are not always on display. There sometimes has discount from qualitywatchesdepot.com and you can save more if you catch the time.

If you're only going to buy one Rolex your whole life, buy this model
- 1. The new version is noticeably larger
2. It feels a little sportier/clunkier (to me, it would be harder to wear this as a multi-use watch for sport, casual, and business)
3. It's heavier. not just a little heavier either, it's weight is substantially more than the previous model
4. The band doesn't transition as cleanly into the lugs in my opinion
5. The bezel is Uni-directional Black Bezel, which is fine, however not my type.
Any way, it is a nice Rolex, the delivery time is great, and customer service is satisfied. just not the one i like the most.

- This watch will definitely not disappoint. At 40 mm, I always believed that this would be too small for me. Most of my collection consists of 42-44 mm watches. This watch wears much larger than its actual size though. It it quite weighty, and the boxiness of the case design gives it a larger wrist presence than it should for the dimensions. The 904L stainless steel that Rolex uses is extremely smooth and comfortable. The sapphire crystal also feels silkier smooth than other brands. Did you know that Rolex actually cut their crystals at a 45 degree angle? This is much harder to do, but creates an almost scratch proof watch crystal with amazing clarity. It's detail like this that really set Rolex apart.

- Unless the trend changes, the Rolex Submariner will likely continue to appreciate in value over time. For a daily-wear watch it's amazing! I swim with it, shower with it and have never had a problem. It's also a COSC chronometer, so it keeps excellent time. If I was only going to own one Rolex, it would definitely be this Rolex model. The bracelet on this Submariner 116610LN is very comfortable and durable too. I have zero complaints.

- The bracelet is almost straight off the Deepsea and delivers the most satisfying clunk when set down. It is literally solid unlike its hollow predecessor, and the clasp is the world's best IMHO. On a side note, the Glidelock adjustment is amazing, but also necessary given that the sheer mass of this beast often requires daily micro adjustment to keep it fitting properly and comfortably.

A serious watch. Have you earned it?
- The Sub needs no intro, but the new Sub is a better boat all around. First, the case redesign, claimed by father Rolex to be more sporty, but is actually a Deepsea lite. The new Sub case is beefier, bigger, and thus heavier and slightly thicker.
The bezel is georgous and it's platinum coated ceramic is stunning in looks and performance. Its an obvious upgrade of the old scratchable Aluminum one.
Inside, the new hairspring did what the old one does only better. The parachrom hairspring is blue which is also the color of the Chromalight lumenence. And speaking of lights, the new Sub's running lights are bigger, brighter, and as mentioned, bluer.

The life expectancy of a Submariner therefore is around 30 to 35 years.
- If you buy a new Rolex you probably will be able to sell it in 10 to 20 year without much of a loss at worst. If you buy a used one chances are that you will sell it with a gain. This is an argument that many Rolex owners mention. But owning a Rolex brings other expenses with it, most notably having to get it serviced at least every 5 years. During a service among other operations the watch is polished and returned to the owner with an "as new appearance", but this can only be done 5 to 6 times. The life expectancy of a Submariner therefore is around 30 to 35 years.

- The movement incorporates the parachrom blue hairsping which helps the watch maintain accurate time keeping despite temperature change or magnetic field imbalance. Mine is -1 seconds/ day over the last week. A watch built to this exacting standard must keep accurate time even when hours are to be changed, for instance when traveling to a different time zone, without stopping the movement of the minute, second hands. This is a feature that no other Rolex has, except for Omega.

Pretty spectacular
- It is smaller in person than portrayed in pictures. At 40mm it is not a large watch, and it does not wear heavy. The crown can protrude a bit when worn on the left wrist, as I am sure most will choose. This is the cost for the triplock screw down crown. A new feature for the Submariner.
The bezel also appears grey when light exposes many of the pictures found of this watch, but it looks black in all the light I have subjected it to. It is nearly scratch proof, except for the platinum inserts that indicate the 24 hour time. These scratch easily!

NO NOTEPAD Not smart, but a good Rolex watch
- I heard that they were coming out with "smart watches," basically an iphone or android right there on your wrist, ready to go on the internet, play Angry Birds, or even DJ your house party using your music collection.
So I quick searched for the most expensive watch I could, assuming it would be one of these "smart" ones.
Found this, I don't see any internet on there or DJ software or even like, notepad, but it is a good rolex watch, with accurate timing.

- It does not say it in the manual, but if you rid it for times with your hand, then once with your jock, the genie will appear. So i wished that i could see Santa, but since he wasn't real we had to make him ourselves. After months in secret government bases cloning and splicing human beings given to us by aliens who had abducted and butt raped them, we had us a Santa. But it turned out that Santa was real, and he came in guns blazing with his sleigh as if it were an apache helicopter. The final stand off between him and clone Santa resulted in a candy cane through the clone's eye socket then followed by the reindeer eating his entrails. Now I am on Santa's naughty list and i will be dead sometime. At least the Submariner it came with wasn't all that bad.

- I write this review from my prison cell. I saw the watch and had to have it, who knew that harvesting organs from un-documented illegal aliens was a crime? Anyway I received this watch and put it on and was mesmerized by it's elegance (Finally I am somebody) and I would do anything to keep it. SO that led to my "Stint in Fed". I must say without pause that every time I am taken in the shower by force, I find my happy place which is my memories of my watch. Only 18 more years and I will be able to wear my watch as it is currently impacted in my rectum.

- The Submariner Model is a huge upgrade over the Casio I which also told time but was far less expensive, and therefore lower quality. In fact there are plenty of options out there for under $100, that's just 1/5th the price, that tell exactly the same time as this watch, but don't have that "Wow" factor you get my slapping $500 on your wrist and laughing as you walk by the homeless people on the downtown streets that struggle to eat everyday (I mean, just get a job, right!?!).

- I liked this so much I bought one for my pet monkey "Pongo" to wear. Now when I take him for a walk I know I am impressing people even more than I EVER did when I merely walked my monkey while wearing this wonderful watch. I know it's silly. But I'm very insecure and buying expensive things and waving them in the face or people with less money than I, makes me feel better about myself. A purchase of envy
- I would buy this product again. I was approached by a young negroid in my travels to New York City, who had quite a nice black looking trench coat and a vast array of fine time pieces neatly arranged there in. I scanned this young but somewhat paranoid young mans onsomble of exquisite examples, my eyes fixated on this very piece I'm reviewing. The Submariner, I plucked the Submariner from the shadowy figures robust inventory, I thought to myself this negro kids collection rivals the best of my contemporaries.

- At first, I didn’t know how to read the time on it because there are a lot of numbers on the dial and I didn’t know which ones to use. So for instance, if you look at the picture it above, the time says 77:33. So that’s the way I tell time now. When people ask me for the time I tell them: “My Submarinerr II says it’s 88:11. Can you deal with it?”. And I just walk away. It’s not my fault they don’t understand how time is crafted in my submariner.

- I bought this watch ... because I deserve it and I absolutely love it.What good is spending $512.89 on a watch 99% people will think is real anyway. Rolex is the most famous in the world. You can buy this watch for 60K dollars or $500.......most will think it cost worthy anyway. Haters. It's not about what other people think or see. It's knowing that you did, because you can.

A steal at 512.89 dollars
- I love this watch, I where it while I watch my sleep on her ostrich feather and silk 12' dog bed. Its also a good decreation next to my 24,000 dollar mac and triple 4k monitors on a my mohagany desk. I prefer the yacht masster II for my daily drive in my black bugatti. I can have this most amazing watch but then realized I have the time and day on my iPhone

does not look special enough
- Pros - I saved $12.89 and free shipping. I was really worried about that. I am on a budget and I cant afford to pay $10.00 for shipping, BRAVO ROLEX.
CONS: Not shiny enough, after wearing it awhile people were not smart to understand that I am wearing a ROLEX so most people were unimpressed. It really does not look special enough so I got frustrated and went to the Tattoo shop and had my net worth tattooed on my forehead. Now people know what a rich douchebag I am.

- Those who knock it, ain't got it! This is not the watch for the average Joe. This is the watch for the man who has arrived. Comparing this watch to an Invicta is like comparing a "Smart Car" to a Ferrari.....If you can't afford it, you don't get it. Literally. Anyway, I usually buy breitling watches but this watch made my head spin. I am a watch lover and I approve this message.

Great stocking stuffer!!
- I got a few of these for family as a nifty stocking stuffers. I'm still upset that no one ever wears them though. One of my brothers really upset me when I asked where his watch was and he couldn't stop teasing me about paying off the rest of his mortgage. At least my Dad wore his but, said he didn't want to get it wet when he took out his new Bass boat. I guess next year I'll have to think of something else. Anyway, great watch!!

perfect everyday watch
- After selling my body through prostitution for the past 1 year, I was finally able to buy this watch for my husband. It was definitely worth it. Not to mention how I sold half my organs on the black market. But all in all the watch was a great buy. Keeps decent time but scratches easy. Would purchase again. To bad I don't have another house to sell to buy another now.

it captivated me
- I just graduated from college and got my first job - entry level accountant. I wanted to dress the part so I started shopping around for watches. I came across this one and truthfully.... it captivated me. I BOUGHT IT ! I of course put it on the credit card.

- It is a must have! After selling my wife to loan sharks, and stealing my moms credit card, and living on ramen noodles for a month. I can finally be the envy of nobody! This watch is perfect
- After i paid off my college loans i decided i needed something the same range so i could have that feeling of being completely drawn out of money so why not buy this and cry in two years :) !! Just bought it for my boyfriend for his Christmas present. At first I was a bit worried thinking for this price I could've gotten him four Rolex watches but of course I gave in and got it for him!This watch is perfect except they spelled it wrong, it should be Relax. Looks the same and I've had mine for 2 years.

the best watch to wear in most occassions

I have a Tag, Omega, Citizen before, but I think this is the best watch to wear in most occassions if I didn't have time to come home and switch watches to go to an event. - when I got this watch, my family asked how much it cost. And I told them it was just about hundreds of dollars, but they cannot believe it. They even took 2-5 mins closely examining it! Too bad, my brother liked it so much he asked for it the next following days. SO stylish this watch and also elegant and classy and he also wanted to buy one! When wearing this watch, you might not expect from a thick, large watch, even if you have chicken sized wrist like me. I have no second thoughts about this purchase.

only $ 512.89 worthy my buying, it looks almost the same as the real one, but cheaper soooo much.
- First of all I was really impressive by the free shipping and of course the fast shipping only about 10 days I got my watch! So satisfied. Secondly, I must say the customer service so nice and so patient to help me analyze and recommend this black dial one for me as I hesitated buying the blue dial or the black dial before making my order then. The most important one, I really find that you get what you pay for. This watch of only $ 512.89 worthy my buying, it looks almost the same as the real one, but cheaper soooo much. Yes, I must say I save so much on my purchasing this watch. I love it so much and now I find this black one is much more suitable for my dressing style. Its so best.
